Kherson region was always well known for its sport traditions. Such kinds of sport, as boat-racing, kayak-paddling, table tennis, track and field athletics, archery, ball shooting, volleyball, wrestling, chess were represented by our athletes on the high level competitions during a lot of years. Since 1993 specialty «PMSE Biology and physical training» was opened, and since 1994 on the base of this specialty the Faculty of Physical Training and Sport was founded. The following chairs work on the Faculty today: the Chair of theory and methodic of physical training and the Chair of sport disciplines. Pedagogics and methodics of high education.
The faculty began to work in 1994. Specialists of three specialities are trained by Chair of theory and methods of physical training and Chair of sports subjects.
